The hoops themselves measure just over 2" wide and the earring hooks are sterling silver. I believe these stones are NATURAL, which means they have not been pressure treated plasticized. As a jewelry wearer, this means they need extra care in order to avoid turquoise discoloration by perfumes, face makeups, soap, body oils, etc.
