Charles Blackman 'Sirens' - ink on paper nature 'The Muse II' 1971'Sirens' is an image charged with nostalgia, offering a deeply intimate glimpse into the personal life of Charles Blackman. Depicting Hermia Boyd, famed potter and wife of David Boyd, dancing with her daughter Amanda this drawing points to a joyful moment shared between artists instrumental in defining Australian Modernism. Direct from the Blackman Family Collection, this work reminds us that these artists were not only peers, but also dear friends.
