Slinky 19.5" Solid 18ct Gold Snake Fox Tail Chain opal_necklace the cut of the stones

the cut of the stones is primitive and the chasing isn't quite as fine as later examples and it has an early feel to it

Certainly we'd have put the pendant at between about 1905 and 1915 stylistically

The open length is around 17

We've left the tarnish on the silver frame but this would polish up nicely

The workmanship

Slinky 19.5" Solid 18ct Gold Snake Fox Tail Chain opal_necklace the cut of the stonesDescription: Lovely solid gold vintage chain in 18ct gold Age: Modern vintage late 20th Century Size and weight: 5. 56g 50cm 19. 7" Materials: 18ct gold Condition: Very good. It is a handmade chain and is ever so slightly kinky! It looks great on but if you were sliding your fingers along it you'd notice it is not completely uniform and straight along its length.
