If you care about tournament play, which many players simply dont, the question becomes if Izzet Cauldron will get so unsustainably dominant that it pushes out other decks from play, and if thats a fun format to play in
I get the idea is to build out your deck over time and these are the easiest place to start, but these cards are too important to leave out
It never really had a strong performance at the World Championship due to Dragon Rulers being dominant in 2013, the TCG and OCG hits combined being too much in 2014, and Blue-Eyes being the best Deck in 2016, but with nothing hit to Atlantean Mermail as of late March 2025, there might be a chance it can finally show up at the 2025 event against Blue-Eyes and Maliss to name some of the likely candidates as of this moment
And if you want to add this card to your Lathril, Blade of the Elves deck, its going to proliferate quite a lot of -1/-1 counters

Im fully aware a full playset of 816 cards for each Lorcana set is unnecessary and excessive
