I do think it's safe to say WotC improved with the play boosters that followed
Alesha, Who Smiles at Death is a mono-color card as far as its casting cost goes (you only need and generic mana to cast it) but its ability costs : you'll have to pay either , , or if you want to put Alesha's trigger on the stack
Remember, to make this it must have a White color identity, not multi like Dismantling Blow and then cannot be a cantrip like Shelter or Wall of Omens that replaces itself when doing something else but an actual proper card draw spell
You dont want to let the player pulling ahead draw several cards, but you definitely dont want them dropping something for free from their hand
